A man who plunged from the top of Preston Bus Station on Thursday morning has suffered ‘life-changing’ injuries, according to police.
Emergency services raced to the station after reports from worried onlookers at 10am, but there was but there was no time to intervene with a police negotiator.
Police said the man fell from the top of the building, at bay 80.
Pictures suggest he fell onto the roof of a parked bus.
The man has been taken to the Royal Preston Hospital and has undergone a series of scans.
No details have been released about the man’s identity.
Police on Thursday evening said the man was in a stable condition, and his injuries were thought to be “life-changing”, and not “life-threatening”.
