A couple of weeks ago Plungington bear was no doubt safe and warm in a little boy or girl's bed. But then something terrible must have happened.

Because poor Plungington Bear was found all alone in the wet and cold on Miles Walk in Plungington.

Anybody looking into this bear's face will see that there is indeed, a great deal of sadness in his eyes.

The bear was found by kindly Prestonian Elaine Lowe who has appealed on Facebook for the bear's owners to come and reclaim him.

She said: " I was walking home and I saw something on a wall further up. It was icy cold and raining.

"I wondered if it was rubbish, maybe a scarf or something but when I got to it, it was a lovely teddy lying down all wet.

"I put out an appeal of Facebook but it's been over a week now though and nobody has claimed him.

"Of course I'll adopt him if his owner never comes back but I'd rather see him reunited and back where he belongs."

Anybody with any information about Plungington's owners should get in touch with the Lancashire Evening Post via Facebook.
