Three men in court on burglary charges

Three people have been charged after a car alleged to have been stolen in a burglary was stopped in Preston.

Police used a stinger to stop a car just off the Broughton junction of the M55 motorway yesterday.

A 31-year-old man, of no fixed address, has been charged with driving without insurance and burglary.

Also charged with burglary were a 23-year-old man from Nelson and a 19-year-old man from Burnley.

They were due to appear before Blackburn Magistrates’ Court yesterday.

A 16-year-old girl from the Burnley area was released without charge.
