Multi-vehicle crash on M6 near Lancaster

The crash happened at around 8pm on the M6 northbound between junction 34 and 35.

Highways officers initially closed all three lanes of the carriageway but traffic was released shortly afterwards and one lane is now open.

Highways England tweeted: “Recovery is now on scene, and 2 lanes remain closed on the #M6 northbound between J34 and J35. There are minor delays on approach.”

The carriageway was cleared by 10pm and the Highways agency reported no further problems on the road.
