The Bitter Suite plays host to a medley of music from some up-and-coming local artists next week.
The event usually happens every two to three months at the Fylde Road venue and features music from Philip Quigley's band Vicariux.

Philip is a music teacher based in Leyland and teaches about 50 students a week from his sound-proof studio Karibu. He teaches guitar, bass, piano, drums, voice, theory and technology and has an outstanding 100% pass rate for exams at all eight levels.

At these musical events Philip puts a line-up together which incorporates many of his students, either as performers or as an audiences. This he says gives them, and him, a platform for development.

Joining him on the line-up at this event on Friday, July 4 are The Jackpot Golden Boys, and Polar Fire, a band which features three of Philip's brothers.

The rest of the line-up features some of his best students. Oli D is a young and talented solo guitarist. Sharon H will be giving her second performance as a student singer and DJ Neil D will also appear. Neil is a previous A Level student.

All proceeds from the gigs go to charity and this time he hopes to raise £200 to £300 in support of the Chinese Earthquake Appeal.

Catch all these talented performers at The Bitter Suite on Friday, July 4. Admission is £3 or £2 with a flyer. Doors are open from 8pm – 12am.
