The Studio at the Grand Theatre makes for the perfect setting for a comedy club - with the intimacy comedians need to play off a receptive resort audience.

Tomorrow night sees four of the best in Blackpool for the Laugh Out Loud Comedy Club compered by former stockbroker Damion Larkin - one of Britain’s best up and coming comedians himself.

On the bill from 8pm Chris McCausland, David Longley and Kevin Dewsbury.

McCausland, a blind comedian, has come to prominence via three series of At The Comedy Store (Comedy Central) and Jimmy Carr’s Comedians Special charity episode of Celebrity Deal or No Deal (Channel 4). His material spans from the real to the ridiculous - whether it be about university shenanigans or the world of the giraffe - with the odd tale of embarrassment thrown in for good measure!

He’s taken six different stand-up shows to Edinburgh Festival - and won the Creative Diversity award for Comedy by a Channel 4 led panel of broadcasters from the BBC, ITV and Sky too. He’s most recognisable as Rudy the market trader in CBeebies show Me Too.

Caustic yet likeable Longley brings cutting wit and controversy and a degree of toilet humour via deadpan delivery of everyday anecdotes.

Dewsbury, who’s supported Michael McIntyre, Omid Djalili and Russell Howard, steps into the spotlight in his own right with material ranging from storytelling, observations to one liners. All that and Larkin as compere, the former stockbroker who quit the City to do stand up. Damion, who produces LOL Comedy, admits it’s a great line up “and with comedians of this calibre it’s sure to be an hilarious night.”

The show starts at 8pm, tickets £15 on the door.
