In another coup for Lytham’s Lowther Pavilion – walking that theatrical tightrope between mainstream and innovatory offerings – award-winning comedian and actor Omid Djalili is coming to be Schmuck for a Night.

Omid’s 108-date UK tour, which spans this year and next, takes in Lytham on Saturday, October 8. Omid shrugs: “Hey, I’m just trying to make sense of everything.”

As a stand-up and acclaimed actor, Omid’s credits range from Hollywood movies and television to live productions on the West End stage. He has appeared on UK and US TV, and starred in films such as the Golden Globe and Oscar-nominated Shaun the Sheep Movie, Mr Nice, Gladiator, Sex And The City 2, The Mummy and The Infidel.

Omid has just been seen in the BBC Four series Going Forward with Jo Brand, made recent appearances in Dickensian for BBC1 and Stan Lee’s Lucky Man for Sky1, and is executive producer of We Are Many, a documentary about global anti-war demonstrations in 800 cities on February 15, 2003, one of the largest mobilisations of people across the planet. It has just been released by Universal.
