Comedian Craig Campbell will perform at the Lancaster Grand Theatre next month.
Following the digital-only release of his Channel 4 DVD Craig Campbell Live recorded at London’s Bloomsbury Theatre, an extended live tour with The Lumberjacks (alongside fellow Canadians Stewart Francis and Glenn Wool) and a critically-acclaimed Edinburgh festival run, stand-up Craig returns with “more rib-tickling stories of life as a perpetually fun-seeking middle aged man-child”.
In October Craig is set to perform as part of the world’s highest comedy gig Stand Up on Everest at Mount Everest Base Camp at 5,365m above sea level.
Stewart Francis, Glenn Wool, Terry Alderton, Simon Evans and a special guest will be joined by up to fifty eager fans on a gruelling nine-day trek high into the Nepal Himalaya in aid of the charity Save the Children.
Craig has supported Frankie Boyle on his 120 date nationwide tour and has performed on Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow (BBC One), Russell Howard’s Good News (BBC Three), and was responsible for “easing the contractions of an expectant mother who laughed so hard at his performance on Dave’s One Night Stand (Dave) that her waters broke”.
The Lancashire date kicks off his tour, at the Grand Theatre, Lancaster, April 16. Tickets: £16.80.
