Morecambe’s annual Catch The Wind Kite Festival, returns to the resort on Saturday and Sunday from noon to 5pm both days.
The free festival takes place on the Promenade next to the Midland Hotel and at The Platform and attracts thousands of people every year.
There will be a live music stage in front of the Platform, featuring some of the best local bands and musicians.
There’s also the opportunity to take part in a host of arts and crafts events, and other fun too. These include a chance to learn circus skills in a circus tent, a ‘bungee’ trampoline, street entertainers and the popular Baybeat Streetband.
New this year is Urban Square, which will be workshops including graffiti, DJing, rapping and beatboxing.
Music continues Saturday evening with the Midsummer Hothouse Ceilidh, live music and dancing for all ages.
All takes place at the Hothouse on Devonshire Road, Morecambe and features folk group Flying Folk playing traditional songs.
