On Friday August 19, Park It moves venue to Fulwood Leisure Centre, combining Park It with the 40th birthday celebrations of the centre.

Both events are free and include activities aimed at young people and families.

This year sees bubble football, a military assault course, live bands and DJs and salsa dancing with African drums, as well as a climbing tower, inflatables and a Preston’s Got Talent competition.

Cabinet member for culture and leisure, Coun Peter Kelly, thanked the organisers and said: “These events are now very well established in the Preston calendar and are hugely popular with local young people and their families.” One of the organisers, Nicola Greene, said: “Park It has been a much anticipated annual event that has brought the community together.
