Louisa’s sound of silence, finally.
Former BBC Young Chorister of the Year Louisa Stirland brings the Sing a Song for Christmas event at lep.co.uk to a moving climax today.
Pupils from All Hallows High School in Penwortham and Bernstorff-Gymnasium in Satrup came together to play a game of football commemorating the First World War Christmas Truce of 1914 in Bamber Bridge last Thursday evening.
Singing in both English and German, Louisa’s beautiful rendition of Silent Night/Stille Nacht captures the mood of the evening perfectly.
Over the last 24 days the lep.co.uk has delivered a digital Advent calendar of song, with musical treats uploaded every day since December 1.
From choirs to buskers, brass bands to goth rockers, panto stars to folk and beyond, singers and musicians of all kinds have taken part, and the songs will be online to watch and enjoy throughout the festive period.
Thanks to all who took part and to Runshaw College for supporting the event.
Have a merry musical Christmas, one and all.
