Chorley Live is here, and the Lancashire market town is preparing itself to be taken over by musicians and performers of all kinds – and you can see the lot for just five pounds
Hundreds of people have already got their wristbands for Chorley Live, with the town about to be turned into Lancashire’s capital of music and entertainment.
The live event will see 200 performances across 25 venues over two nights in Chorley town centre bringing the community together for a fantastic weekend, with people getting entry to all the venues over both nights via a wristband that costs just £5.
Chorley Council is teaming up with the Creative Network to put on the entertainment extravaganza that will have something for all the family and every taste of music with both local and, for the first time, an international artist taking part.
Coun Peter Wilson, Deputy Leader of Chorley Council, said: “If you’re planning what to do at the weekend then make sure you come along to Chorley Live.
“It was the first time we held the event last year and it was enjoyed by people of all ages with families coming out, too, and the feedback we had was fantastic – if you didn’t come last year then you definitely missed out.
“I’m really looking forward to seeing some of the bands and there really is something for everyone, from families right through to fans of heavy metal and rock music.
“If you don’t normally go out in Chorley then I hope you’ll think about getting your wristband and supporting both the local event and town centre businesses.”
There will be a wide variety of performers including rock, metal, soul, pop, country, jazz, blues, reggae, folk, Americana, hip hop, dance groups, choirs, classical music, magicians, storytellers and much more.
