A night of heavy metal thunder will rattle Fylde Road for free on Saturday, with a triple headed noisefest at The Ferret from 8pm.

Ascalon, We Like Humans and The Hyena Kill make up the bill.

Four-piece Ascalon describe themselves as a metal band influenced by Judas Priest, Black Sabbath and Motorhead. (www.facebook.com/Ascalonmetal)

We Like Humans, above, are a fierce alt-rock band formed in April 2012, led on vocals by Dan Clayton, formerly of Switchboard Spectacular (www.facebook.com/WeLikeHumans).

The Hyena Kill are a duet based in Manchester with a passion for dirty grooves and big riffs (www.facebook.com/thehyenakill).

The Ferret is one of the most celebrated small music venues in Lancashire. It boasts a new stage and lighting and offers gig nights each week covering most genres.
