MK, Basement Jaxx, Hannah Wants, Duke Damont, Tchami and DJ EZ headline with support from Sonny Fodera, Tough Love, Preditah, Low Steppa and more.

The clubbing event is staged at North Pier featuring the biggest DJ talent around after the debut season – hailed a success in spite of being blighted by a violent incident – seeing over 12,000 party goers soaking up the sunshine, sea air and music.

The launch party features Pier Jam favourite K, the DJ /producer responsible for creating some of the defining sounds of early house, smashing UK charts with remixes of Storm Queen’s Look Right Through and Wankelmut’s My Head is a Jungle.

He now specialises in a stripped down back to basics style. Crowd pullers Basement Jaxx, feted for vibrant live sets, carnival vibes and charting toppers such as Romeo and Good Luck, feature DJ duo Felix Buxton and Simon Ratcliffe, who come up with edgy dance music productions.

Claptone, the man behind the remix of Gregory Porter’s Liquid Spirit, joins the mix with DJ pair Camelphat and Sonny Fodera.

Organisers of Pier Jam say they have pulled out all the stops to deliver their biggest line ups to date across all four events – starting on Saturday and continuing on August 20, September 3 and September 17.

Pier Jam runs from 2pm to 11pm on Saturday, over 18s only, photo ID, price £15 plus booking fee to £35 (VIP).

The August event will include chart topping DJ/producer Duke Dumont who stormed the charts with tracks such as Need U, I Got U and The Giver.

He’s joined by French DJ/producer Tchami whose remix of Janet Jackson’s “Go Deep” became an overnight sensation.

One of the big series highlights comes in September, for Pier Jam Part 3. It’s all about the bass for multimusic winning Hannah Wants, self styled child the garage generation, who is validated by some serious world credentials. There’s more to come for Pier Jam Part 4 with garage legend DJ EZ likely to repeat last year’s sell out success. Watch this space...
