In Wednesday’s Lancashire Evening Post it was wrongly advertised that world renowned conductor Richard Evans will lead the Penwortham Brass Band Spectacluar, taking place at at St Mary’s Church on Thursday, March 27.
It is in fact the Leyland Brass Band that will be taking part in the concert.
The event, at St Mary’s Church in Church Avenue, will begin at 8pm.
Tickets are £7 each with all proceeds going to Galloways and the Royal National Lifeboat Institution - charities of Town Mayor Councillor Rosemary Robinson, sister of Mr Evans.
A Town Council spokesman said: “This will be an incredible night of exhibition standard brass band music.”

The Leyland Brass Band personnel are drawn from all over the United Kingdom and beyond and the current line up boasts players from Norway, Australia and Luxemburg.
They recently begun the new calendar year with the appointment of Huw Thomas as their new Musical Director.
