Residents reminded of traffic orders on main town’s roads for duration of concert evenings on Lytham Green

Residents are reminded of a series of road closures and restrictions granted to Lytham Festival organisers over the remainder of this week to support the event.

The restrictions finish on Sunday, and affect a number of streets in Lytham.

Lytham Festival Director Peter Taylor said: “The restrictions that have been granted help make the festival run smoothly and safely as always.”

The main road closure will be in force on Central Beach from its junction with Dicconson Terrace to South Beach’s junction with St John’s Street.

There will also be a one-way restriction in force on Bath Street from its junction with Clifton Street to Central Beach prohibiting vehicles from
travelling south.

A diversion is in place for the duration of the closure which runs as follows: West Beach, Fairlawn Road, Church Road, Market Square, Clifton Square, Clifton Street,
Warton Street and finishing on South Beach.

This diversion is reversed for traffic travelling in the opposite direction.Additionally, there will be restrictions in place for waiting, loading and unloading on Central Beach, Bath Street, Grosvenor Street, Warton Street and Clifton Street.

Festival teams will immediately start dismantling the arena following the Last Night of the Proms on Sunday.
