Ribchester will host one of the most talented musicians in the country a week on Friday, September 19.

Carl Barrow, who runs Hollow Horse Events, has persuaded Lisbee Stainton to include the village in her 2014 Word Games tour which will promote her critically acclaimed album of the same name.

He said: “Lisbee has had a meteoric rise, being the first unsigned singer-songwriter to play London’s O2 arena – two shows to 30,000 people.

“She wanted to play some more intimate venues as well as the city gigs.”

Lisbee is from Basingstoke and started singing at the age of five, writing her own songs from the age of nine.

She was discovered by Tom Robinson when he heard her music, an eclectic mix of acoustic pop, rock and folk on MySpace.

Tickets are £12 and are available through ticketweb.co.uk. Further details are available from Carl on 07824488410.
