Get set for a bumper weekend of live music and entertainment as Longton Live returns to the village.

The very best of local musical talent will perform at 15 venues across the town tonight and tomorow, from 7pm until 11pm.

This year’s event sees an incredible line-up of music including pop, rock, punk, acoustic, R&B, soul, reggae, 1920s, French café music, gospel and jazz. There’s also choirs, a saxophonist, and a barbershop harmony ensemble for crowds to enjoy.

Organised by Creative Network’s Nigel Stewart, with support from South Ribble Council’s Western Parishes Neighbourhood Forum, there is also dance, magic, comedy, drama and poetry performances to enjoy.

£5 wristbands for entry to all venues for all performances, and are on sale at venues and from performers. Under 12s are free.
