A driving instructor has sparked social media madness after receiving a phone call from his Hollywood namesake.
Samuel Jackson, known locally for his use of the learner ‘L’ between his first and surnames, took a call from actor Samuel L Jackson on Thursday night as part of the Graham Norton Show.
The call was not broadcast on the Friday show, as it had been cut, but Samuel described his surprise at having spoken to the celebrity.
Samuel, from Southport, said he jokingly accused Samuel L Jackson of stealing his name, to which the actor responded with some strong language.
“Samuel, who has been teaching learner drivers for 25 years, said: “He used a lot of choice language which I can’t repeat, and it was a bit surreal to speak to someone so famous.
