Downton Abbey star LAURA CARMICHAEL has revealed Lady Edith Crawley is set to get feisty in the new series.

The actress has just begun filming the fourth series of the hit period drama and revealed while her character had a reputation for being a bit dowdy and desperate to marry in previous series, she has now become quite a modern, independent woman.

Laura said: “She’s coming into her own a little bit.”

She added: “I think after being jilted she’s thrown it all out the window, any ideas she did have in the first place and I think that’s been good for her. It’s given her a bit of independence and hotspur. I love playing her.”

CHLOE MORETZ has revealed there will be romance for her character Hit-Girl in Kick-Ass 2.

The 16-year-old actress has just finished filming the sequel to the hit comic book action film co-starring AARON TAYLOR-JOHNSON and CHRISTOPHER MINTZ-PLASSE. The last film ended with child assassin Mindy Macready - aka Hit-Girl - befriending superhero Kick-Ass.

Chloe revealed of the sequel: “There’s going to get a bit more romance, a much more grown up Mindy Macready. Someone who’s questioning themself and whether they are a villain, assassin or a vigilante and a hero. So there’s a lot of tormented inner self, it’s interesting.”

Chloe added: “It’s been amazing revising the character and showing her more grown up and more adult and more put together. It’s been a lot of fun.”

MILA KUNIS has spoken about relationships in an interview, but sidestepped talking about her romance with ASHTON KUTCHER.

The Oz: The Great And Powerful star took part in a smouldering cover shoot for Allure magazine, and was asked about her relationship with Ashton, who she has known for 14 years after working together on That ‘70s Show, and is thought to have started dating last year.

Mila said: “People change. So who you knew years ago is not necessarily the person that you (know now)... And who somebody was yesterday is very different from who they will be tomorrow.”

The pair have been pictured spending time together around the world in recent months and were snapped kissing in Central Park in September.

But pushed further on her relationship status, she said: “I didn’t think this was going to be about my friends. Happily about myself! Not about who my friends are, who I’m dating, or who I may have ever dated. That’s not talking about myself!”

IDRIS ELBA has admitted a foot fetish inspired the drama he wrote and directed.

The Prometheus star said he told actress ANNA FRIEL that Pavement Psychologist was based on his fondness for feet.

Idris told GQ magazine that Anna, who stars in the drama, said she liked his script but wondered why it centred around the body part.

“I had to be honest with her. There came a moment right there where the actor was looking at me and saying, ‘Why did you write this story?’ And I had to say, ‘Well, I’ve got a fetish for feet’.

“I spilled the beans, I told the truth. I know how it developed and when and I’ve never articulated it and it just seeped into that script.

“She was like, ‘Wow, that’s weird’. And I said, ‘I know’.”

Anna plays a woman obsessed with shoes in the drama which starts on Sky Arts on April 4.

ANDREA RISEBOROUGH has said she found working with TOM CRUISE very inspiring as he is so enthusiastic.

The Shadow Dancer star worked with the Top Gun star on new sci-fi film Oblivion.
