It was bottoms up for drinkers at Charnock Richard FC’s first beer festival.
Hundreds of people enjoyed pints on Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the Charter Lane club. On offer were 15 different beers, as well as ciders and other drinks. A DJ and live singers entertained the beer lovers as they had their drinks over the weekend. The festival was held to raise money for the football club, with the total amount not yet calculated. Ian Holland, bar manager, said: “It went brilliantly. There were more than 300 people.
“We thought a beer festival would be something different. It went well.”
Another beer festival is now being planned for May.
