Colourful spectacle as UCLan's Colour Fun Run returns

The UCLan Colour Fun Run returns to Preston on Sunday May 6.

Anyone and everyone is welcome to join in the fun run at the UCLan Sports Arena.

You will get showered in safe, eco-friendly, plant based powder paint as you run/walk around the cycle track.

The track is one mile -long so participants will run/jog/walk around the track a total of 3 times which will equate to 5k.

A spokesman said: “This will be the most colourful 5k you will have completed, the event is for you and as long as you have fun that is all that matters.

“Our Colour Run is not a timed event, we suggest self-timing for anyone desiring a finish time.

“You’re welcome to walk, run, dance, or skip your way to the finish line. Families are welcome.

“The paint we use is completely safe and will wash out of your clothes.”

All ‘colour throwers’ will make sure to aim low as you pass by…some Colour Runners opt to wear sunglasses or goggles for their eyes and use a bandana or dust mask for their mouths.

The race will start at noon on Saturday, May 6.

Registration will take place from 10:30am.

The chosen charity is Rock FM Cash for Kids. Donations can be made on the day or you can set up a Sponsorship Giving page.
