Lights, camera, action...
Film crews took over Preston for the filming of this year’s Christmas advert.
Scores of people responded to a call for budding actors and proud Prestonians to take part in filming for the ad. It aims to promote everything on offer in the city this Christmas.
Preston has had a regional TV ad since 2009 funded by the Business Improvement District. The advert will air between November 29 and December 13.
Mark Whittle, marketing and events manager for Preston’s Business Improvement District (BID) said: “It went really well and we filmed in five locations across the city centre, mostly indoors, but with a little outdoors. We’ve looked to cover the retail offer, hospitality, dining and theatre/culture.
“It was great to work with people that are as passionate about Preston as we are.
“It certainly caused quite a stir when we filmed in public locations with people eager to know what was going on, and when the ad will air.”
