A Lancaster theatre has made it into the semi-finals of a nationwide competition.

The Dukes Theatre and Age UK Lancashire joined forces in the
autumn to offer older people and their families increased access to the arts, and the pilot project has now been selected in the £50,000 Ageing Well Challenge Prize.

The events, sponsored by Joseph A Jones & Co Solicitors of Lancaster, included a dance performance, film screening, discussion and a Journey Café, where people could socialise and find information on issues affecting older people, especially those with memory problems.

Assistance for those struggling to find transport to the events was available too.
