Round-up of the latest celebrity gossip
DAVID BECKHAM has confessed he was lost for words when his children asked him about the facts of life.
The 37-year-old footballer hunk took over H&M’s Twitter feed for a live Q&A with fans to promote his new underwear collection, and was asked what was the funniest question his kids had ever asked him that he didn’t know how to answer.
David said: “I think it would have to be the obvious one about the birds and the bees :)”
The pin-up has three sons, Brooklyn, 13, Romeo, 10, and Cruz, seven, and one-year-old daughter Harper with fashionista wife VICTORIA.
Things didn’t all go smoothly for David’s Twitter chat, however. He turned up late from training with new club Paris St Germain and was then bombarded with rude questions about his love life, which he ignored.
WILL SMITH has revealed why his daughter Willow decided not to star in the Annie remake - because she wanted to be a normal teenager.
The Men In Black star admitted that even the thought of working with Jay-Z (who would be composing the music score) and BEYONCE couldn’t tempt the 12-year-old to take the leading role in Will Gluck’s remake, which would be produced by Will and his wife JADA PINKETT-SMITH.
“Willow was supposed to be doing Annie. We got JAY-Z to do the movie, got the studio to come in and Willow had such a difficult time on tour with Whip My Hair and she said, ‘You know Daddy, I don’t think so’,” he told Hip Hop Wired.
“And I said, ‘Baby, hold up!’ I said, ‘No, no, no, listen, you’ll be in New York with all of your friends and Beyonce will be there. You will be singing and dancing’, and she looked at me and said, ‘Daddy, I have a better idea, how about I just be 12’,” added the father-of-three.
MILEY CYRUS has declared she never wants to grow her long her back as it was just too much hard work.
The 20-year-old singer and actress chopped off her long blonde locks last summer and has since been sporting a daring punky crop with shaved sides.
Miley told E! News “I could never see myself having long, long hair again.
“I’m feeling it! My fiance (Hunger Games actor LIAM HEMSWORTH) loves it. It’s so much easier to go shave the sides once a week, rather than getting your roots done and all this stuff.”
MATT SMITH is reportedly set to make his Hollywood acting debut in a film directed by Ryan Gosling - How To Catch A Monster.
The Doctor Who actor is set to star in the “modern-day fairytale” alongside CHRISTINA HENDRICKS and EVA MENDES, reported Variety.
Mad Men actress Christina, who starred with Ryan in Drive, is already on board to play a single mother-of-two who gets swept up into a dark fantasy underworld when her 18-year-old son discovers a secret road leading to an underwater town.
Eva, who is dating Ryan, is tipped to play a mysterious figure called Cat in the movie.
KYLIE MINOGUE has signed up to JAY-Z’s record label Roc Nation.
The 44-year-old pop princess announced earlier this month she was taking time out from music to focus on her acting career, but she has apparently changed her mind after signing up to the rapper’s R ‘n’ B and hip-hop label.
Kylie announced the news by posting a picture of herself on Twitter wearing a cut-off T-shirt bearing the company’s logo and wrote: “Kisses from my new home Roc Nation.”
Jay-Z also confirmed the news with a statement that said: “Roc Nation would like to welcome Aussie singer, recording artist, songwriter, actress and designer Kylie Minogue to the family.”
MARIAH CAREY has recorded a new “feel-good” song for the Oz: The Great And Powerful soundtrack.
Almost Home, which has been co-written and co-produced by the Grammy-winning superstar, will also be released as a single on February 19.
“Almost Home has a message that works beautifully with the film. It’s a feel-good record, it gives you the feeling of reaching your home and being with people that you love,” she said.
Award-winning photographer and director David LaChapelle, who made the Loverboy music video, will direct the music video for the song, in a reunion which he described as “a duet between Mariah and the movie”.
