Organisers of cinema projects in the North West have just two weeks left to apply for their share of a £700,000 Lottery cash pot.
Creative England’s Film Culture Lottery Fund, which hands out aid to those who need funding for venues, festivals, archive or community cinema schemes outside London, opened for applications last month and there is just a fortnight left for projects to apply.
The Fund has already helped The Dukes Theatre’s Cinema Project in Lancaster, Manchester’s Cornerhouse and the Abandon Normal Devices Festival. Amounts will range from £2,000 to £40,000, and the application deadline is November 30.
Creative England’s Head of Film Culture Jay Arnold said: “This is a great opportunity for regional film programming. Through our work over the past year, we have encountered some truly inspiring projects and we look forward to supporting a new wave of exciting and dynamic film activity.”
