Britney Spears ‘will be performing in Las Vegas’

Britney Spears

Britney Spears

A round-up of the latest celebrity gossip

BRITNEY SPEARS’s manager has rubbished reports that the star won’t be performing in Las Vegas.

Larry Rudolph told Extra that the Sin City residency is set, with the Toxic singer’s team choosing between two casinos.

He was quoted as saying: “We are in deep negotiations and I’d be shocked if it didn’t happen. Hoping to have a deal done very soon.”

The pop star and former X Factor USA judge has been in negotiations for several months to perform in Las Vegas. But it was recently reported that the residency was not going to happen.

MICHELLE WILLIAMS has confessed she had no idea who JASON SEGEL was before they became a couple.

The My Week With Marilyn actress - who has a seven-year-old daughter, Matilda, from her relationship with the late actor HEATH LEDGER - has been dating How I Met Your Mother funnyman Jason for around a year.

“I didn’t actually realise who he was before I started dating him,” she admitted to InStyle magazine.

“I mean, I saw the Muppets movie, and I thought, ‘Oh, that’s cute’, but the truth is I didn’t realise he made a lot of very popular, funny movies or was on a TV show.”

LEIGHTON MEESTER and ADAM BRODY are rumoured to be an item.

Gossip Girl actress Leighton and former The OC star Adam have been secretly dating for weeks, according to Us magazine.

A source told the mag that the pair - who starred alongside each other in the 2011 film The Oranges - were “always close and friendly” and have been “hanging out”.

The new couple - who are said to be keen to keep their romance out of the spotlight - reportedly attended an art exhibition at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art on February 1.

Neighbours star RYAN MOLONEY has confessed his scenes with his on-screen daughter can prove challenging.

The actor’s character Toadie Rebecchi is proud new dad to baby Nell with wife Sonya (EVE MOREY).

Ryan said of his tiny co-star: “A baby sometimes doesn’t want to play. You try to make the relationship like you are their parent but obviously the baby knows that you’re not and doesn’t want to be away from her parents.

“So it can be quite challenging and you kind of have to do things, get it right the first time if she’s having a good day.”

JOSEPH FIENNES is set to delve into the supernatural in new movie The Unholy.

The Escapist star will share the screen with Homeland’s Morena Baccarin in the thriller, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The movie is said to be inspired by scientific research that suggests evil may live within a person’s genetic code, and follows “a group of cutting-edge scientists who believe they can link evil to a specific human gene”.

SIR BEN KINGSLEY and GILLIAN ANDERSON are set to share the screen in a new sci-fi movie.

The Gandhi star and the former X-Files actress are both attached to Our Robot Overlords, reported Screen Daily.

The movie, directed by British film-maker Jon Wright, takes place a few years after robots invade the planet, with people now confined to their homes.

Gillian, 44, recently told Broadcast: “It’s a fantastic script set in the future about a woman who has four or five kids living with her in a world run by robots and they break out in search of the father who’s gone missing.”
