American Hot Rod cars and breathtaking freerunners will be on display when a free festival comes to Preston Flag Market tomorrow.
Preston Free Fest is the brainchild of petrol head Andrew Speariett, founder and events manager of car club Car Cruise North West.
The family fun day will feature a modifed and standard car show, show and shine competition and live music from singer Dani Gallagher, Gareth Hargreaves, Digital Discos and Last Minute Discos.
Entertainment will be provided by the Preston freerunning and parkour team Street Monkeys, while Cazmania Parties have arranged visits from Toy Story’s Buzz Lightyear and Woody, Mickey and Minnie Mouse and Kung Fu Panda.
There will be a prize tombola and more games, with all money raised on the day going towards St Catherine’s Hospice and Rock FM’s Cash for Kids.
Andrew, 46, from Ribbleton, Preston, said: “We do quite a bit for charity and wanted to do something for children, so we decided on a free family fun show.
“We want to show children that if you do something positive you can achieve your goals.”
The dad-of-five thanked committee members Leroy Allen and Kirsty Davies for helping to organise the event and Preston Council for granting a licence after its original location had to be changed.
The event will run from 12pm to 5pm. If you can help donate prizes, call Andrew on 07557196189.
