The ‘Spinal Tap of Folk’ – the Lancashire Hotpots – are the latest stars of the LEP’s Sing A Song For Christmas drive.
The flat-cap troubadours have recorded a video version of their festive hit ‘Christmas in Lancashire’ for lep.co.uk readers (online from 10am today www.lep.co.uk/sing-a-song-for-christmas).
The seasonal treat, right, comes as a preview of the faux-folk five’s return to 53 Degrees this Saturday for their traditional final gig of the year at the Brook Street venue.
For more on the Hotpots follow @thehotpots on twitter or visit the website www.thelancashirehotpots.net/
Tickets for Saturday’s gig (doors 7.30pm) cost £12. Call the venue on 01772 893000 or visit www.ticketline.co.uk (subject to booking fee.
A musical countdown like no other is underway at lep.co.uk
The LEP has challenged the county to Sing A Song For Christmas – and the musical community has responded.
By December 24 an advent calendar of song will have taken shape, with new treats going online every day until then.
But we want YOU involved too! Film yourself singing or playing solo, with friends, family, workmates – whatever!
Send it to us and help create a unique musical event. We want festive tunes of all kinds: carols or Chrissie pop, Silent Night or Slade, Bing or Wham.
