What betterway to herald the beginning of the festive period than with a celebration of music and dance.

Now in its 30th year The annual Festival For Christmas, led by Preston Orpheus Choir, is a feast of entertainment for all ages, at the Guild Hall on Saturday December 8.

The start of 2012 saw the Orpheus Choir, which was founded in 1929, welcome their new Musical Director, Roselise Gentile, originally from Bologna.

The Choir will be conducted by Roselise with the choir’s accompanist, Paul Greenhalgh, at the piano.

For the Festival For Christmas, the Choir is joined by Freckleton Brass Band, Sandham Fitchett Performing Arts, Kirkham Grammar Junior School Choir, St Pius X Preparatory School (with their performance of the Nativity), The Shamrock Dancers and Pipe Major Stewart Lyell.

A Festival For Christmas takes place at 7pm.

Tickets are priced at £14 and £12 for concessions and are available from the Box Office on 0844 844 7710 and via the website online at www.prestonguildhall.com.
