Fair proves a vintage day out

From classic cars to classic curls, a hotel turned back the clock to embrace all things vintage.

The Best Western Leyland Hotel, in Leyland Way, Leyland, hosted a vintage and retro fair in the town that was once the hub of British motor industry.

And organiser Christine Clarke, of Bijou and Vintage, thought the fair was a success.

She said: “It was a fabulous day and a great mix of people.

“It was more of an event rather than a fair.

“It wasn’t just for the fashionistas, we had clothing stalls but we also had classic cars on display and a swing singer. We had something for everyone interested in retro culture.

“People stayed throughout the day. I’ve always had a great response from the people of Leyland. They used to travel to my fairs in West Lancashire and a lot of stall holders are from the local area.”
