Ugly women needed to keep miners company

A town of hardened miners struggling to attract female company has come up with what it believes is a breakthrough idea, invite ugly ones who will be grateful for the attention.
But the proposal led to John Molony, mayor of Mount Isa in the Australian outback, coming under fire from local women.

He had originally told a local newspaper: "May I suggest if there are five blokes to every girl, we should find out where there are beauty-disadvantaged women and ask them to proceed to Mount Isa."
