"If you don't put me down this second there'll be trouble!"
A group of strong men risked the wrath of their wives as the UK and Ireland Wife Carrying Championships ended with a few sore heads.

The annual race, held this year in Springhill, County Londonderry, Northern Ireland, saw teams of husbands and wives battle it out to reach the finishing line.

But one or two didn't make it - with a number of wives dropped on their heads.

The winners will go on to compete in the World Championships in Finland later this year.
