A university professor who lost his temper during a debate, pulled his shorts down and exposed his underwear to students, has been fired.
William Shanahan, an assistant professor of communication studies at Fort Hays State University in Kansas, US, was coaching his university's debating team at an event in Wichita when he got into an argument with a coach from an opposing team.

The incident, which happened in March, received worldwide attention after footage of it was posted on the YouTube video-sharing website earlier this month.
