A Canadian and a German have set a new world record for movie-watching.
Suresh Joachim of Toronto and Claudia Wavra from Germany watched 123 hours and 10 minutes (more than five days) worth of movies to create a Guinness World Record.
Competing in the Netflix Popcorn Bowl, the two were not allowed to fall asleep at any point during the competition which began on October 2 in New York City.
Actress Susan Sarandon was present at the event when she dropped off during "Thelma and Louise," the last of the 57 films viewed during the movie marathon.
