A team of investigators travelled over 5,000 miles from Los Angeles to Lancashire – on the trail of UFOs.
The crew are from the programme UFO Hunters which is shown on the History Channel in America.

The next series will feature the Red Rose county's spate of mystery sightings.

In July, Pat Regan, 51, took a picture of a freaky funnel cloud moving slowly over the skies of Scarisbrick, near Southport.

On closer inspection, Pat, of Brook Road, Ainsdale, also spotted an unidentified flying object alongside the would-be tornado.

Dave Pavoni, of Motion Picture Production, said: "We started seeing that the UK is the number one hotspot in the world right now.

"We got Pat's photograph and came and talked to him at the area where he filmed it and we're going to take his photo and analyse it back in Los Angeles."

The team also showed the picture to an atmospheric scientist at Manchester University who studied it and confirmed the object was not debris from the funnel cloud.

when you look a little deeper it all becomes quite convincing. From the freqently reported "foo fighters" of WW2 to the sightings of unidentified phenomena in the earths atmosphere by NASA.

Although little grey men may be far fetched there are many new unexplained phenomena and sceptics should be more open minded.

Sceptics ARE open-minded (unlike cynics, they are usually willing to change their minds should any evidence worthy of the name be presented). In the case of UFOs there has been nowt so far.

Did any inform them that Lancashire does have a high drug problem?

As for pats sightings, what she sawwas a tornado yes, the unidentified flying object was a fence panel or some that walked into the tornado whilst on their mobile.

It is not a co-incidence that these sightings are always very close to large scale military design centres. Lancashire is home to a number of BAE sites where new design military aircraft are designed, built and tested.

QED.

OK, taking comments 2 & 4, then consider 7 - there's clearly something fishy going on!

i can only speculate what.

But...Forget little green men, industrial espionage is far more likely....possibly even govt scaremongering to follow to help fuel another war to distract public attention from an economy crunching into recession

Howzat for a game of cards???

Post 8, I don't think its anything fishy at all, fish can't jump that high, unless the tornado took it out of the water.

seems that the UK is now a hotspot for UFO sightings and we need to know what the hell is up there or would armchair critics rather keep ua all in the dark? Yeah - lots of stuff is explainable but some things are not. And BTW the witness in question is as 'male'. check this
