A Penwortham family is appealing to people who may have seen a UFO in the skies above their home.
The Beesons say they saw the strange object hovering above Crookings Lane at 11.15pm on Sunday.

Mum Catherine also claims that, as the craft hovered above, it projected an orange arch-shaped light shining on their conservatory roof.

She said: "I don't normally believe in things like that, but my 20-year-old daughter was shaking like a leaf.

"Somebody else must've seen something. My husband Nigel tried to get a photo but it didn't come out.

"It had red and orange lights and was like a frisby. It moved really quickly and was definitely not an aeroplane.

"We saw one about 10 minutes later and we could see the difference. I just wonder if anybody on the plane saw it."

There have been plenty of new UFO sightings around the UK over the past few months, including several in the North West.

One Lancashire Evening Post reader who photographed a funnel cloud also spotted an unidentified flying object alongside it over Scarisbrick, near Southport.
