Dog swallows golf ball

A Victorian bulldog had to undergo surgery after it swallowed a golf ball in mid-flight.

Owner Marie Dibben took the one-year-old dog Louis to the People's dispensary for Sick Animals (PDSA) centre in Bournemouth, Dorset, after he caught the ball during a walk in a park.

Veterinary surgeon Paul Cossey x-rayed Louis' stomach which showed the ball and that an operation was required to remove it.
