A 14-year-old boy risked his life by running across a railway line - for a packet of crisps.
The youngster darted from platform three to platform two at Preston station at around 10.30pm on Monday to buy a snack.
There were no trains coming and services were not affected.
British Transport Police dealt with the boy and said they would be taking him home to Manchester and speaking with his parents.
