Bikini girls fail to break record

An attempt to set a record for the number of bikini-clad women gathered together on a beach failed.
Some 250 sun lovers donned two-piece swim suits under an overcast sky in Southend, Essex.

But the attempt was 70 short of the British record and more than 700 shy of the world record.
