Two women have been taken to hospital after a two-car smash in Lancashire.
Police closed Wigan Road in Bamber Bridge near Preston, close to its junction with Lostock Lane, for around 30 minutes following the incident at 1.06pm on Tuesday.

One woman in a Peugeot 106 had to be helped out of the car by firefighters and para
medics. She was taken to the Royal Preston Hospital complaining of back pains.

A second woman in the Peugeot managed to get herself out of the car. She was also taken to hospital as a precaution.

A third woman, who was driving a BMW, was not injured.

It wasn't a "smash". It was a bump.
