Two men were cut from their car and taken to hospital on spinal boards after their car veered off the M6 and rolled in a field.
A Land Rover Discovery, carrying two men in their 50s, left the M6 northbound just after junction 34 shortly before 9am on Monday, and rolled several times in a field at the side of the road.
Firefighters cut the men free and one was flown by air ambulance to the Royal Lancaster Infirmary and the other man was taken by road.
They were placed on spinal boards as a precaution but their injuries are not thought to be serious.
