Two lanes of the M55 in Preston have been closed after a crash involving three cars.
One woman was taken to Royal Preston Hospital suffering injuries which are not thought to be life-threatening.

A spokesman for the Highways Agency said: "There has been a three-vehicle crash westbound around junction 1. Traffic officers have moved the car to the hard shoulder, but it is totally shut westbound and we have got people queueing from the M6 to get onto the M55."

The crash happened on Tuesday morning near the Broughton interchange and involved a Volkswagen Passat, a Toyota Yaris and another vehicle.

Drivers were delayed by 15 minutes and normal traffic conditions were expected to resume by noon.
