The friend of a Preston father-of-three killed in a horror road crash has been charged with his death - more than six months after the accident.
Businessman Christopher Stuart, 48, was a front seat passenger in a BMW which ploughed through a hedge and into a tree on the A586 close to the Singleton traffic lights on February 1.

Mr Stuart, of Bailrigg, Jepps Lane, Barton, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police today confirmed the driver of the car, Paul Coupe, was a close friend of Mr Stuart.

Mr Coupe, 49, also of Barton, has now been charged with causing death by dangerous driving and will appear at Blackpool Magistrates on July 25.

Mr Stuart was married and had three children, Laura, 25, Ben, 21, and Jessica, 12.
