Man arrested over road crash death

A man has been arrested after a road smash in which a man died.
Valli Mallu died after sustaining serious injuries in the accident at The Boulevard in Preston city centre.

He was the passenger in a blue Renault Clio which collided with a blue Hummer H2 vehicle at 8.10pm on Saturday July 26.

As a result of the accident, Mr Mallu suffered a fractured sternum and was taken to the Royal Preston Hospital where he died last Thursday from the injuries.

A 27-year-old man has been arrested and reported by officers investigating the accident.

Now police are appealing for witnesses to the smash. Anyone who witnessed the accident or the events leading up to it is asked to contact Preston Police on (01772) 203203.
