Part of the M6 was closed during the Monday rush-hour after a car smashed into a crane.
The incident happened at 7.20am today between junctions 34 and 35 of the northbound carriageway just after Forton services near Lancaster.

Fire crews had to cut the driver free from the wrecked Peugeot 106.

Two lanes of the carriageway were closed, sparking rush hour tailbacks and delays of more than 20 minutes.

The motorway was expected to be fully re-open by 8.45am.

Ambulance crews were also sent to the scene.
