Four people were taken to hospital after a car hit a lamp-post on the M61.
The accident happened when a Ford Focus left the road close to a roundabout near junction 9, around 11.30am on Sunday.

Paramedics and firecrews helped a trapped woman, thought to be in her 50s, from the car.

She was taken to Royal Preston Hospital by ambulance with arm injuries, which were not thought to be serious.

Three other people in the car went to hospital for a check-up.
