Flooding shuts Preston road

Rush hour commuters faced delays after part of a key commuter route into Preston was closed due to flooding.
After a night of torrential rain the A583 in Riversway has been closed westbound between Pedders Way and the A5085 Blackpool Road has been closed for emergency repairs to be carried out after it was hit by flooding.

Horrobin Lane in Rivington, near Chorley, has also been closed both ways at the Sheep House Lane because of flooding.

You'd think the drains near the docks would work properly at least there of all places, hmm?

Just can't find the staff these days - tut!

Plus, there's that spate of manhole cover thefts goin on too for scrap metal coin!
