Flipped lorry sparks road chaos

An overturned lorry has sparked road chaos close to the start of a Lancashire motorway.
The lorry, which was carrying animal feed, overturned at the end of the M65 at the roundabout close to the Sainsbury's store in Bamber Bridge, at around 1.40pm on Monday.

Police say animal feed is thought to have spilled across the road and will likely cause major delays.

No one has been injured in the incident. The driver of the lorry managed to get out of his cab and no other vehicles were involved.

A spokesman for Lancashire police said the accident means there are "likely to be major traffic delays in the area."

Simply this - any driver who is going so fast at a round-a-bout that he turns over a lorry should be banned from driving for life. It is totally irresponsible driving and the guy obviously does not know how to control the vehicle properly.

james you dont know that speed was the cause of this accident! many things can cause a wagon to tip over at a roundabout or any other road (unless your a wagon driver which i doubt you are otherwise you would know this) until you know all the facts of what happened i suggest you keep silly comments like this to yourself because for all you know the driver may have had to swerve out of the way to avoid hitting someone who wasnt watchin what they were doin or it could have jacknifed or the brakes could have locked up its not just speed that can be a reason for a lorry to tip over!
