A lorry ploughed into the back of a parked tanker on one of Lancashire's busiest roads.
The collision took place at 11.30am on Thursday, on the A59 Preston New Road close to the BAE Systems plant at Samlesbury.

Police and firefighters were called to the Preston-bound side of the road amid fears the tanker may contain toxic chemicals.

But the tanker was empty and did not suffer any serious damage. Neither of the two drivers involved were injured.
